The "Search for a Motive" in Australia

Hat tip New English Review

"By Jove, I think I see it."

Thursday a man in Melbourne, Australia drove his car into a group of Christmas shoppers injuring 18. The Australian authorities, imitating their European counterparts, described the driver as a mentally unstable man with a history of drug use. Though the act was deliberate, there was no indication of any act of terrorism even though the man was an Afghan descent. Go back to sleep, Australians. All is well.

But hold, on. There is more. It turns out that our driver, Saeed Noori, is a refugee and after his arrest was mumbling sweet little nothings about some guy named Al (later identified as Allah) and "mistreatment of Muslims".

I'm not a betting man, but I would bet your farm that the motive was.....
Jihad!
