Reservists on Duty at UC Irvine

Hat tip to Camera on Campus for sending me this video.

I have posted several articles and videos from Last month's anti-Israel week of events sponsored by the UC Irvine Muslim Student Union and Students for Justice in Palestine. As I write, SJP is still under investigation by the university for their May 10 disruption of an event held by Students Supporting Israel and featuring five Israeli Defense Forces veterans who are part of an organization called Reservists on Duty.

Here is a short video put out by Reservists on Duty showing how they stood up to the SJP and their allies. You will also note the use of  inflammatory language caught on tape from the SJP crowd.

It refreshing to see a group of young people standing up to the SJP lies, hate and propaganda. I heard the Reservists delivering the facts about Israel and the Palestinian terrorists.

This is good -- whether I agree with them or not. A lot of insular campus groups have been allowed to believe that The Whole World is with them. There's nothing to reduce them to quivering rage like a good reminder that they are emperors without clothes (and without an empire). When all they can say is f* you m*r, you know you've successfully rained on their parade.

I had a friend in high school who organized the local Young Americans for Freedom. Sure, I thought about rearranging some of his bumper stickers to say "Register Police Guns" and "Support your local communists." And maybe "Chorinate Ronald Reagan" (a take-off on "Fluoridate Earl Warren" -- but even conservatives agree healthy teeth are a good idea now). Anyway, we could exchange friendly greetings and laugh. He was just wrong -- and I had enough confidence I didn't have to get enraged that he believed that silly stuff.
