ESPN Doesn't Know Poetry

ESPN needs to stick to sports and leave the poetry alone. A poem honoring a fugitive cop-killer was originally selected as part of some production honoring "the new feminism".

This is ESPN's biggest mistake since Keith Olberman.

I totally agree with you Gary. ESPN needs to stay glued to a sports track and not politics. They are loosing viewer share and have to release a significant number of personnel to make ends meet.

Assata Shakur didn't kill anyone. She was present during a very confused fracas when police were way outside of proper protocol and may have been themselves posing a serious danger to the lives of others. Probably one of her deceased co-passengers fired, possibly under provocation severe enough to amount to justifiable homicide. I hear police are a bit better behaved these days, although a few bad apples still get out of hand.
