Congress Issues 2nd (of 3) Reports on Fast and Furious

Hat tip Daily Caller

Senate ranking member of the Judiciary Committee, Charles Grassley (R-IA) and Darrell Issa (R-CA), chairman of the House Oversight Committee, have  released their second report on the failures of the Justice Department in Operation Fast and Furious. There is yet one report to come. The one just released singles out several high-ranking Justice officials.

I can hardly wait for the third report, which surely will focus on You-Know-Who.

I also hope the report will talk about the failures of Homeland Security Director Janet Napolitano, who has stood in the shadows like a potted plant in the face of the death of one of her Border Patrol agents, Brian Terry, by these weapons, as well as the possible connection in the death of ICE agent Jaime Zapata. To say she has been negligent is to insult negligence.

Yeah, yeah, the usual self-serving political manifestoes by the usual cabal of frustrated politicians, wailing that nobody will take their tripe seriously.

I suspect there are some things that need to be improved in all the agencies concerned, including the top levels of the Justice Department. If anyone were looking out for how to get our government doing its job better, rather than grandstanding for brownie points, uber alles, we might have had a genuine and fruitful investigation.
