Max Baucus (D-MT) -Your Congress in Action

"And now I would like another drink. Bartender!!"

(The caption above the video which describes Senator Baucus as drunk and intoxicated is from the original YouTube video.)

Yes, folks. This is one of the leaders of the government health care bill in the Senate. This is the same guy you have seen recently on TV standing behind Harry Reid and next to Chris Dodd and the other gang-members in Congress as they talk to the press about their bill. Isn't this also the guy who was writing his own version of the bill a couple of weeks ago? (Yes) Isn't this the guy who was trying to get his mistress appointed as US Attorney from Montana? (Yes)

Of course, Baucus' office is angrily denying the senator was drunk and called it a "smear".

"This is beyond the pale, and this type of gutter politics has no place in the public sphere," said Baucus spokesman Ty Matsdorf (who has been a busy man lately).

Well, I am no expert, so to be fair, let's bring in someone who is. You, Sir. Do you think the senator had a few too many highballs?

"Uhhhh,...... yeaaaah."

This is one of the guys (Baucus, not my expert above) who is crafting how our health care is going to be delivered for the rest of our lives. One wonders what Senator Baucus' condition was when he was writing his version of the health care bill.
